Position Summary 

The Human Resources Manager is responsible for managing the human resource functions of the business.  T

Key Responsibilities " Human Resources 

  • Manages direct reports within the HR Department.  Assigns and allocates work, sets priorities and deadlines.  Resolves personnel issues, guides and advises personnel in the performance of their work. Completes performance evaluations and makes recommendations on wages and promotions.
  • Executes or delegates Onboarding and Termination checklist of tasks.
  • Recruiting " assists managers in updating job descriptions and posting to Job Boards. Completes Background checks and drug screenings.
  • Monitor Benefit Invoice reconciliations (terminations, adds, and rate changes)
  • Monitors COBRA enrollments and eligibility
  • Administers ACA Compliance Reporting via Paylocity tools
  • Assures Personnel Files are compliant with Federal, State, and ACHC accreditation standards
  • Assures Training Files are compliant with ACHC, FDA, and CIA standards
  • Administers DMETrain and CIA annual training requirements
  • Updates Organizational Chart as necessary, provide copies to management
  • Project Manager on Employee Benefit Renewals, works with brokers to present plans to management
  • Completes required documents and monitoring for Work Comp Claims and Leaves of Absence (FMLA). Monitors Work Comp claims through closure with brokers assistance. Manage Return to Work program.
  • Monitors Annual Performance Reviews, ACHC requirement for all non-owner employees.
  • Monitors PAF Forms (People Action Forms) for any personnel changes. Scan and file.
  • Drafts and communicates Compensation Agreements and 1099 Consulting agreements.
  • Conducts annual review of Employee Handbook, make amendments as approved by ownership.
  • Completes VETS-100 reporting by September 30th.
  • Affirmative Action Plan to be reviewed and updated annually. (government contract + over 50 employees)
  • Project Manager on Annual 401k audit
  • Presents Personnel Information to Board of Directors on Quarterly basis.
  • Cross trains on essential functions of the department
  • Performs other related duties as assigned. Experience / Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree and five years of HR experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • Experienced in using email, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel at an intermediate or higher level,
  • Must have the ability to lead and coach others as well as the ability to facilitate and negotiate.
  • Must have strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills. 
  • Must possess the ability to organize and prioritize work while meeting deadlines. 
  • Must be able to lead and manage projects effectively.
  • Must have strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to work with others from a wide variety of backgrounds and cultures and at all levels within the organization.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of records and information.
  • Must possess positive attitude with energy, integrity and customer focus.



Physical Requirements

General office environment that include frequent or continuous periods of talking, sitting, typing, repetitive motions of the hands/wrists, reaching, grasping and handling.  This position also requires occasional bending, squatting, standing, and walking. Pushing, pulling lifting and carrying of up to 10 lbs. is required on a rare basis. Good general vision and hearing are needed.
